$21.00 $18.90

Chocolate, spice and plum characters on the nose combine with sweet berry fruit, chocolate and marshmallow flavours supported by a grainy, spicy array of plum and raspberry on the palate. Delicious on its own or match with a decadent, dark chocolate based dessert or strong cheeses.

Askerne Estate Merlot Cabernet Franc Malbec 2015

$23.00 $20.70

This complex blend showcases a great vintage on our Havelock North vineyard. Dark and brooding on the nose with black doris plum, aromatic jasmine and underlying mineral notes of graphite and tar. The palate is broad and soft with supple front palate tannins and soft vanilla oak enveloping the fruit. Drink now or cellar for 5-7 years.

Ata Rangi Pinot Noir 2016

$76.00 $68.40

Only the oldest parcels of fruit are used in this, our premium Pinot Noir. The fabled Abel clone, allegedly smuggled from Burgundy in the mid-70s, makes up 40% of the blend. The result is a very complex, structured wine, beautifully perfumed in the classic Ata Rangi style. Exotic spice of star anise and sandalwood layer with dark cherry and rose petal on the nose. As is a hallmark of our Pinot, a savoury herbal note reminiscent of oregano offsets more overt fruit characters. The palate is bright, fluid and focused. Fine tannins build through the mid palate carrying the wine to a long elegant finish. Cellaring 10 to 20 years.

Aurum Amber Pinot Gris 2016

Bone dry, rippled with minerality and tannins. This wine is at the cross roads of a red wine for its tannins and texture, a cool climate white wine for its intense minerality and a barrel fermented white wine for its charming oxidative notes.  Appearance is clear amber/orange colour. Bouquet: Spiced honey, dried nectarines and pears.

Aurum Dry Riesling 2015

Wow! Lime alert! This southern star smashes through the palate with green apple and quartz-powder, mineral-driven mouthfeel that lingers long and will send your saliva glands into overload. The citrus intensity is one thing, but the honeysuckle and hints of biscuit really add to the complexity of this wine in the mouth. It’s a clean, zingy wine which zips into action immediately. This is the sort of wine that’ll be perfection with classic, sweet and sour pork with pineapple chunks. Appearance is crystal clear, pale lemon.

Babich Wines Irongate Cabernet Merlot Franc 2015

$38.00 $34.20

Sweetly perfumed – clove and cinnamon backed up with dark plums, vanilla and a touch of cedar. Richly fruited. Plums and forest berries with savoury leather and cigar notes. Seamless and dense tannins add to the sense of warmth. Opulence nicely balanced with a red vibrancy and spice on the finish. This wine is a brilliant match for red meats, game and pasta dishes. A perfect partner for casseroled lamb shanks or with scotch fillet, roasted rare. Recommended cellaring 3-15 years.

Crazy by Nature Cosmo Red 2015

$27.00 $24.30

“In 1984 they thought we were crazy to grow our grapes organically. We’ve spent the last thirty years proving that they were right! Now, it seems everybody wants to be crazy, and that’s just what this planet needs. Crazy by Nature – makes perfect sense.”

De La Terre Syrah 2015

Complex aromas of violets and ripe black fruits, layered with floral notes and a dark pepper spice. Nuances of fine-grained French oak support the fruit aromas.  An initial burst of dark and rich Syrah fruit is supported by very fine tannins and toasty French oak. The flavour is both long and persistent and highlights the impeccable balance between fruit, tannin and acidity.

Domain Road Duffers Creek Riesling 2016

$26.00 $23.40

An off-dry style fermented cool in stainless steel tank after gentle whole bunch pressing.  Lifted aromas of melon and citrus fruit with honey and lemon on the nose.  A small amount of residual sweetness is well balanced and allows subtle flavours of lime and ginger on the palate.

GOLD MEDAL – Bragato 2017

Drumsara Pinot Noir Rose 2015

The 2015 Pinot Rose has a bright pink colour. A very aromatic Rose with aromas of strawberry, raspberry & passionfruit. A generous palate with fresh strawberry, concentration and lingering finish.

Easthope Skeetfield Hawkes Bay Chardonnay 2015

$41.00 $36.90

This warm vintage produced ripe flavours at low potential alcohol. The initial aromatic impact is gunflint, peach and citrus blossom. The palate belies its relatively low alcohol level with rich flavours and a creamy texture punctuated by vivid fresh citrus fruits. This wine is a keeper; offering great maturation potential over the next 5-7 years.
