Overview:

Vincent Carême 2019 Terre Brûlée Le Blanc is a unique and complex dry Chenin Blanc crafted by the talented winemakers Vincent and Tania Carême. After meeting in South Africa, the couple’s passion for winemaking led them to create small volumes of exceptional wines in both South Africa and France. This wine is a tribute to the Loire Valley's Vouvray, the birthplace of Chenin Blanc, but is crafted from hand-picked grapes grown in the stunning Swartland region of South Africa. It’s a flinty, succulent white that brings together the best of both worlds—delicate complexity and a true sense of place.

Tasting Notes:

The 2019 Terre Brûlée Le Blanc opens with a distinctive dry, flinty character that immediately captures the essence of its terroir. Aromas of fresh citrus and green apple are complemented by subtle hints of minerality, making the nose incredibly inviting. On the palate, the wine is lively and vibrant, with a wonderful balance of ripe fruit and crisp acidity. The wild yeast fermentation adds depth and complexity, with a subtle richness and texture that builds as the wine evolves. A deliciously complex and succulent white, this wine is a perfect representation of its unique origins in the Swartland region, with an elegant finish that lingers with a fresh, mineral edge.
