The small quantities of fruit used to create Cottier Pinot Noir have created a delicious wine with a deep intensity. Complexity is added with subtle overtones of savoury oak , the result of 12 months in the finest French barriques. Deep, bright ruby red. Light berry fruits and redcurrants on the nose, with a hint of vanilla. Juicy dark fruits on the palate with a smooth, warm mouthfeel. A measured touch of oak provides a pleasant balance to the fruit flavours, offering a wonderfully smooth finish
A very long hot summer in 2016 has produced cherry and jam like flavour. Moderately sweet and lightly oaked with a background of cinnamon. Flavour developing further in the bottle and drinking beautifully now.
