Traditionally, the colouring of the Rose wine is dependent on how long the red grape skins are in contact with the grape juice, the shorter contact time the lighter the colour while extended time yields some amazing eye colouring variations from vibrant orangey-pink to vivid hot pink.
Rose wine flavours tend to be more refined versions of their varietal equivalents with flavours leaning towards raspberry, strawberry and cherry with some citrus and watermelon becoming more present. Rose wine can be produced in a sweet, off-dry or bone dry style.
