How sustainable is your favourite wine? What are the principles of sustainable wine growing in New Zealand, and how does that differ from organic certification? Sustainable Business Network is excited to present three experts in viticulture to speak about wine making in New Zealand, while sampling wine specifically chosen to accompany their presentation.

Tara Smith, Sustainability Manager, Yealands Wine Group Tara works for the first winery in the world to be certified as carboNZero since its inception. Her extensive wine knowledge and passion for sustainability shine into her conversation about anything wine related.

Meagan Littlejohn, Team Leader, Sustainable Wine Growing New Zealand Meagan will be presenting on what Sustainable Wine certification entails, the difference between SWNZ and organic certifications, and what the Sustainable Winegrowing Framework means for New Zealand.

Connal Finlay, Owner & Director, Cahn and Finlay Wines and Spirits As well as teaching part time at The New Zealand School of Food and Wine, Connal starting importing and selling wine when he was still in his teenage years. His production company has produced two festivals: The World of Wine Festival and Ferment Festival.

In addition, the speakers will all be showcasing chosen wines for attendees to sample, accompanied by delicious food. We will have time to delve deeper into the presentations with post-tasting discussion, and time to network. This tasting event will be comprised of an intimate gathering of people, with a limited number of tickets available.
