The fruit for this wine was grown on the stony, sandy lower terrace of Askerne Vineyard.
After the fruit was harvested it was fermented for a short period of time which was stopped by the addition of alcohol. The wine was then aged in older French oak barriques for around 12 months.

This delicious dessert wine is a fortified wine made from a blend of our best Cabernet Sauvignon (90%) and Syrah (10%) picked at optimal ripeness, fermented and then lightly fortified to preserve the fruit sugars and alluring aromatics. Brooding, sumptuous and fruity with aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry and spice. The palate is generous with layers of fruit and soft tannins. This wine is a perfect accompaniment to dark chocolate.
