Overview
Askerne Chardonnay 2022 is a refined and beautifully complex wine, crafted from a blend of carefully selected clones, including Mendoza, Clone 15, Clone 95, Clone 548, and Clone 1066. Grown on the sandy silt soils of the lower terrace of the Askerne vineyard, this Chardonnay is hand-picked and whole bunch pressed to preserve its purity. The wine undergoes both wild and inoculated fermentations, followed by 100% malolactic fermentation, which adds a luxurious creaminess. Aged for 10 months in French oak with lees stirring, it develops a richness and complexity that is both balanced and elegant. The final blend contains 25% new oak, imparting a subtle depth to its character.

The Askerne Chardonnay 2022 is beautifully aromatic, offering sweet vanillin notes, delicate floral scents, and a hint of scented oak spice. The bouquet is further enhanced by tropical nuances, quince, honeysuckle, and golden peach.
