Overview
Graham's 2003 First Flight Colheita Port celebrates both the excellence of the 2003 harvest in the Douro Valley and the centennial of aviation. Produced from select grapes grown across Graham’s prestigious vineyards, this Colheita is a fine example of opulence, grace, and complexity. After a decade of aging in seasoned oak casks, it has developed a deep crimson hue with a signature orange-brown rim. Tasting Notes
The 2003 Colheita presents a youthful, deep crimson centre, bordered by an orange-brown rim, indicative of its long oak cask aging. The nose is inviting, with soft caramel aromas, complemented by hints of vanilla and toffee. On the palate, it is full-bodied, creamy, and sensuous, with mouthfilling flavours of red fruit preserves and marmalade, showcasing the richness and complexity developed during its maturation. This Colheita is an excellent pairing with dark chocolate, as well as caramel or vanilla-based desserts. It can also be savoured on its own as a dessert in its own right. For optimal enjoyment, it is recommended to serve the wine lightly chilled. Once opened, the wine will maintain its fine qualities for up to a month.
