Five Oaks Estate is a 30 acre vineyard situated in the beautiful Upper Moutere Valley near Nelson. European settlers first arrived in the area in the 1840's and planted Oak Trees to remind them of their origins.

The Five Oaks vineyard has been planted alongside 5 mature oak trees which along with a hop kiln on the site, provides a glimpse of the past.

In modern times Nelson has become known for artists, artisans and very stylish wine. The Nelson region is New Zealand's eighth largest wine growing region and benefits from long sunshine hours and cool night skies which combine to create wonderfully textured aromatic wines with an underlying minerality. Plantings at Five Oaks Estate consist of Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris.
