The Air New Zealand Wine Awards are organised by New Zealand Winegrowers in conjunction with Air New Zealand, who are the largest single server of wine in the country with over 800,000 bottles of wine being consumed annually on flights.

A team of highly experienced international and local wine experts judged over 1,650 wines earlier this month to discover New Zealand's finest.
This year 102 gold medals including 10 pure gold (sustainable) medals have been awarded to some of New Zealand's finest wines. A total of 213 silver, 38 pure silver medals, 323 bronze and 64 pure bronze medals were also awarded
